Celeste Sing Their Way to Grand Final

Choir selected as Perfect Pitch finalists

Celeste have made it through to the grand final of the Jack Petchey Perfect Pitch contest.

Students from Norbury Manor's elite choir beat more than 100 other hopefuls at the first of three regional finals at Epsom Playhouse on Sunday 19th January. The girls performed songs including Somewhere Over the Rainbow before judges from the music industry and a paying public audience to secure their place.

The grand final will be held at London's Cadogan Hall on 1st March. The top 12 groups from the regional finals will each perform two songs before a panel of industry experts. The overall winning outfit will be declared Jack Petchey Perfect Pitch Champions and receive a share of the £1,000 prize fund.

Emma Stevens, Celeste's choir director, said: "Our students have been given a fantastic opportunity by the Jack Petchey Foundation. They have gained so much from working with the Pitch Perfect tutors and coaches."

"It’s a real honour to have been selected to perform for the grand final at Cadogan Hall and the girls cannot wait to hear all the other choirs and experience singing on such a prestigious stage.”
