Students Thrilled to Receive GCSE Results

Year 11 cohort rewarded for hard work on level 2 results day
Students at Norbury High School for Girls were celebrating on Thursday 21st August after receiving their GCSE and other level 2 results.
A host of students walked away with grade 9 GCSEs - the highest award possible - including prefect Meliz Reshat (pictured, right, with Miss Khadijah Hayden, Head of Year 11).
Another strong set of key stage 4 results saw Norbury High's Progress 8 score rise to 0.38 (based on CAT results), placing our school significantly above average for student progress. While the Department for Education will not be publishing Progress 8 figures nationally this year (the 2025 GCSE exam cohort did not sit SATs in 2020 due to Covid-19 measures) this nevertheless represents a substantial improvement.
We're also pleased to report an Alps grade of 4, with the Alps Quality Indicator (QI)
improving for a fourth consecutive year. Twelve subjects improved their Alps
progress scores with business studies, computer science, English literature and
religious studies all ranking in the top 10% nationally.
Students will now go on to the next stage in their lifelong learning journey. For many, this will mean beginning their A level studies in Norbury High School for Girls' sixth form from September; others will be looking forward to starting apprenticeships, training or employment.
Congratulations to all our students for their hard work as well as to our staff and students' families whose effort and support is reflected in these achievements.
