Norbury High School for Girls

Your Future

At Norbury High, our aim is to empower all our students to achieve excellence by providing them with the opportunities they need to thrive. We are committed to raising aspirations and equipping our young women with the skills, knowledge and confidence needed not only to pursue fulfilling careers but to lead with purpose and engage as lifelong learners.

The personal successes of our students bear this out.

“84% of Norbury High students secured their firm choice of course and university offers.”

Typically, 90% choose to progress to university. Last year, over 10% went to Russell Group universities including UCL, Queen Mary and King's while 10% moved into employment, apprenticeships or gap years with students joining blue chip companies like Google and KPMG.

Our carefully designed activities and events are tailored to meet the individual needs of each student. By collaborating with local employers and further education providers along with parents, carers and staff, we're able to provide a stable and inclusive programme that effectively supports the diverse aspirations and pathways of our students.

Our sixth form students enjoy...

  • Talks given by speakers from various industries and public services
  • Educational visits and trips to a range of employers, universities and apprenticeship providers
  • Unifrog membership
  • Careers guidance meetings
  • Work experience (in year 12)
  • Preparation and feedback including mock interviews via the local Rotary Club

These benefits are complemented by our comprehensive PSHE and Next Steps programmes, with detailed checklists designed to guide students through applications. Our Next Steps student checklist also highlights the robust support and excellent resources available to students and their families.
