Culture Day 2026

Annual event took place on Friday 8th May
Culture Day 2026 took place on Friday 8th May at Norbury High School for Girls.
The annual event is designed to celebrate the rich cultural diversity of our students and staff and provides an opportunity for the school community to come together and learn about the various cultures that make our school unique.
As usual, students were encouraged to attend school wearing clothes that represented a culture of their choice.
A Catwalk of Cultural Dress, organised by a student committee, showcased the cultural outfits worn by students at lunchtime. All proceeds from the sale of tickets will be donated to the school's house charities.
As well as the catwalk show, there was a multilingual poetry session with Michaël Vidon, a French spoken word artist and Head of French at a Sussex secondary school who specialises in multilingual creativity and is fascinated by the crossovers between language learning, multilingualism and creative writing.
