Norbury High School for Girls

Summerfest

We're delighted to announce the return of our Summerfest event on the afternoon of Wednesday 1st July 2026.

A celebration of our school community and a key fundraising event in support of our house charities, Summerfest sees students working together to run a range of stalls, games and activities, creating a vibrant experience for all. Parents and carers are warmly invited to contribute and share in the fun (further details below); this year, there'll be a beach holiday-theme.

The event provides an excellent opportunity for students to develop creativity, teamwork, leadership and organisational skills, while contributing to charitable causes. Summerfest is supported and coordinated by our student leaders – house and form captains, year 10 prefects and the Student Executive Team (SET) – whose enthusiasm and commitment are such important ingredients when it comes to making the afternoon a success.

We warmly invite parents and carers to share in the sunshine (hopefully!) and support our students' hard work. Visitors are welcome between 14:00 and 15:00. To keep Summerfest safe and manageable, all visitors must book a ticket in advance.

Supporting Your Daughter

As well as attending on the afternoon itself, parents and carers can support the event by:

  • encouraging early planning and involvement, e.g. through brainstorming stall ideas
  • helping to source materials
  • discussing the importance of fundraising and giving back to the community
  • supporting students to bring some cash to spend on the day

What to Expect

Groups will host stalls with a themed focus defined by year group:

  • Year 7 and the sixth form: Refreshing Treats - a variety of food and drink stalls
  • Year 8: Island Challenges - a wide array of games
  • Years 9 and 10: Coastal Creations - crafts and student-led services
