Year 7 Students Visit Greenwich Peninsula, O2 Arena and Sustainable Cities

Students from 7B visit the Greenwich Peninsula, the O2 Arena and the Sustainable Cities exhibition

Students from Form 7B recently travelled to North Greenwich to explore the Greenwich Peninsula and visit the O2 Arena. After examining how this area of former marshland has been transformed into a hub of industry and entertainment, the students took a trip across the water on the Emirates Cable Car.

On the other side of the Thames, 7B visited the Siemens Crystal – home to the world's largest urban sustainability exhibition, Sustainable Cities – where they learned about the development of East London and some of the problems faced by cities around the world. After enjoying lunch in the gardens surrounding the Crystal, the students made their way back to Norbury using a combination of Docklands Light Railway, Tube and overground train.
